More than a year later update!

Long time no write....

I haven’t written on my blog in a very long time.  I blame my job change for the most part.  After I left Ashland, my job as Disease Intervention Specialist at the Health Department has kept me very busy.  For some that do not know what I do, I investigate HIV and syphilis infections in 63 counties of Kentucky.  It can get pretty hectic at times but I also have my down time.  I have gone through some huge changes in the last year: complete job change, getting engaged, planning a wedding, getting married, and now pregnant.  I can't believe so much has happened in one year.  I feel like that never happens but I am thankful and blessed for everything I have.  Matt has been encouraging me to journal more so I thought I'd give it a go again.

 I couldn't wait to find out the sex of the baby.  I am such a big planner; I knew it would be very hard to wait.  Now that we know, my wheels are turning on ideas for the nursery.  I started painting an old dresser that I want to turn into a dresser for the baby that will also be a changing table.  We also have inherited a Jenny Lind crib from his aunt and uncle that we will paint white.

As for colors, my two favorites right now are bright red and baby blue.  I think they look so good together, what do you think?  Target has a great baby selection and I love their Circo line of bedding and clothing.

I guess I better think of a new blog name.  I am still cooking and it's still fo' real around here but my focus is definitely on other ventures now.
